Onimusha and Mega Man remaster or remake on the horizon?

Capcom has been making strides in the gaming industry, with Resident Evil and Street Fighter finding great successful recently, one can only wonder what is in store for us for the upcoming future. 

During a recent Q&A session, an investor posed a direct question regarding Monster Hunter, Toraware No Palm, Sengoku Basara, and Onimusha, and the response offered seems to be promising for us Capcom fans!

“We are carrying out discussions regarding the future expansion of these titles so they can be enjoyed by a wide audience.”

Although short, Capcom has stated that “Mega Man is one of Capcom’s historic IPs and is loved by fans, and as such we want to take care in how we develop the series.” They continue, “We are considering how to approach the production of new entries in the series, which requires numerous factors, including the development of a solid concept, ideas and gameplay, etc.”

When asked about ports for previous Mega Man titles, they replied with a quick: “We are considering our approach to ports of past entries titles, which includes addressing technical issues.”

You can continue to read all the Q&A questions here, but most of the answers are short and vague, so there isn’t a clear outline of the upcoming plans for them, but fans of the games should hold out on hope as these beloved games just very well might be coming in the pipeline in the near future.
