Leaked Bethesda Roadmap Exposes Upcoming Doom Title, Dishonored 3, Fallout 3 Remake, and more.

Within the Microsoft vs. FTC leaks tied to the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company, court documents have unveiled a series of undisclosed Bethesda game projects. These include an upcoming Doom game referred to as “Doom Year Zero” and the eagerly anticipated Dishonored 3. The leaked roadmap also makes reference to the highly awaited Elder Scrolls VI and remastered versions of older titles.

The roadmap, based on a ZeniMax presentation, is extracted from an internal Microsoft document dating back to July 2020. This document outlines Microsoft’s proposal to acquire ZeniMax Media and spans the financial years from 2020 to 2024. It provides a comprehensive list of Bethesda games in development for various platforms, including consoles, PC, and mobile.

The list encompasses both released titles, such as Starfield, Redfall, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Deathloop, as well as titles that have been officially announced but are yet to be launched, with the new Indiana Jones game falling into this category.

Moreover, the roadmap reveals games that have not yet been officially unveiled. Among these, the most noteworthy is a new installment in the Doom franchise, known as Doom Year Zero, which was originally slated for release sometime in the current financial year. It also hints at potential downloadable content (DLC) for Doom.

Another undisclosed title on the list is Dishonored 3, which marks the third installment in the immersive sim series. This news will be welcomed by fans who may not have been as enthusiastic about Deathloop. Dishonored 3 is projected to launch during the upcoming financial year, spanning from April 2024 to March 2025, as is the sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo.

The roadmap additionally includes a number of unnamed projects: Project Hibiki, Project Kestrel, and Project Platinum. Project Kestrel is believed to be a new online game that has been in development at ZeniMax Online Studios for over four years. Furthermore, there’s a ‘Licensed IP Game’ scheduled for release in the upcoming financial year. It appears that Bethesda has plans to remaster both Fallout 3 and Oblivion, two of their older titles.

It’s crucial to bear in mind that roadmaps are subject to change. As evidenced by this roadmap, Starfield experienced a delay of two years from its initially projected launch date. Another leak indicated that The Elder Scrolls VI may not be anticipated until at least 2026. Additionally, it’s highly likely that some games listed in the document have been canceled or altered since its disclosure in July 2020.
